Will & Lori

Updated: Oct 13, 2018

This couple had a picture perfect wedding day. Great summer colors of cream, winsome pinks and soft golds were wonderful for her bouquet of garden roses and billowy blossoms. Sheer organza gathered at the waist and a bodice covered with white blossoms  was just what made this slender bride look magical. A double floor length veil created by the grooms mother completed her look.

Over 230 guests dined and toasted the couple, under the pear trees with canopy of twinkling lights. The buffet style dinner included portebello & bacon chicken, 11 herb roasted potatoes, citrus green beans, both berry and caesar salads, assorted breads from Kneaders Bakery, an appetizer of green veggies with a curry dip, lemonade with a tropical slush, and dessert by Coldstone Creamery (yum - I sampled some).

Garlands of fresh lemon leaves draped over the table edges, and small white flowers (stock etc.) and feathery greens were added to the head table garland to match the floral of garden roses with tiny strawberries and their blossoms, peaking out.  Tables were set with collected china and antique silverplate from The Villa and cloth jacquard napkins, of course. The chocolate buttermilk cake with rustic buttercream, crafted by chef Monica Kate, was cut and served under the trees.

As the light faded, dancing for hours  began, the bouquet was thrown, and finally the newly married couple got away to start their life together.....But the guests stayed and enjoyed the perfect June summer night.
